EPD is organizing a talk on "Employment Challenges Amidst Premature Deindustrialization: An African Profile" on Monday Sept. 19, 1 p.m. in Room 407. Prof. Haroon Bhorat, Director of the Development Policy Research Unit at the University of Cape Town will be speaking (his several affiliations include serving on President Ramaphosa's Presidential Economic Advisory Council and being a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at Brookings Institution). The talk will be moderated by EPD Prof. Akbar Noman who invited him to SIPA.
