The SIPA Pan-African Network invites you to a lecture and Q & A with Prof. Sean Jacobs (New School) as part of our inaugural Africa Focus Lecture Series

Light Lunch will be provided. 

Topic: The talk revisits fifteen years of founding and editing Africa Is a Country, tracing the politics, tensions, and possibilities of telling African stories differently—challenging stereotypes, gatekeepers, and shifting global narratives in a changing online ecosystem.

Speaker: Sean Jacobs is Professor and Director of the Graduate Program in International Affairs at The New School. He founded and edited Africa Is a Country. He is originally from Cape Town, South Africa.
