CUIMC EnERGize: Inaugural Staff DEIB Summit

Join us on Thursday, October 13th for the CUIMC EnERGize Inaugural Staff Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Summit.  This hybrid event will take place at Columbia University School of Nursing's 7th Floor rooftop.  Our theme is Valuable, Visible, Voices. All are welcome to attend. 

This all-day event will kick off at 9:00am.  We will have a keynote address from Dr. Erwin de Leon, Chief Diversity Officer, and lecturer in the Nonprofit Management Program at Columbia University School of Professional Studies.  Our CUIMC ERGs will host a variety of panel discussions, performances and presentations including Dr. Ruth Gotian author of “The Success Factor: Developing the Mindset and Skillset for Peak Business Performance”

  • 9:15am: Keynote speaker - Dr. Erwin de Leon  

  • 10:15am: Break 

  • 10:30am: Disability ERG Presents: Gaelynn Lea Tressler Performance 

  • 11:00am: CUIMC Women ERG: Roundtable- Dr. Ruth Gotian 

  • 12:00pm: Networking Lunch 

  • 1:00pm: LGBTQ+ ERG Presents: Metamorphosis - A Coming Out Story 

  • 2:00pm: Jewish Cultural ERG Presents: Comedy with Eli Lebowicz 

  • 2:30pm: Break 

  • 3:00pm: African, Black and Caribbean & Asian Pacific Islander ERGs Presents: Bold Conversations for Healing & Reshaping Our Medical Center Community Series: Reaching Across the Divide 

  • 4:30pm: Networking Reception 

  • 4:45pm: LatinX ERG Presents: Bachata with Ace Fusion Entertainment 

  • 6:00pm: Event concludes 


Raffle prizes and giveaways will be distributed throughout the day. Refreshments will be served.

CUIMC Human Resources hosts this event in collaboration with our employee resource groups.
